LOL, Piper! The pill bag – ugh. At least only 12 of them will be made. Loved the cougar video!

    Happy weekend,
    Kathy

Ok, so I happen to really like a lot of Damien Hirst’s work, but seriously? It looks like my three year old got access to a lollipop, a starlet’s “medicine” cabinet, and a pretty average looking bag.

I wonder how much of the proceeds are actually going to Unicef – hopefully every penny.

    • Piper Bayard says:

LOL. That’s a great description. I think there’s a lot of pre-school art out there that’s raking it in.

    • “I wonder how much of the proceeds are actually going to Unicef – hopefully every penny.”

That’s quite simple- they will donate exactly one penny. Anytime anyone says “A portion of the profits will go to charity”, my bullshit meter starts spinning at full speed.

Reading Piper’s blog has made my cynical 🙂

      • J Holmes says:

Hi Shantu. I just read your article concerning charities. I think that your article was very worthwhile and I encourage others to read it. I also encourage anyone interested in the topic to visit Elli Ann Soderstrom’s blog to access some of her past articles concerning charity. In particular it’s interesting that Ellie Ann questioned the “Kony 2012” scam while it was still seen as a great agent for positive change in Africa.

Collectively we are unable to do enough charitable work to help all of the world’s children so it is critical that our efforts be efficient and effective.

  3. The cougar video is hilarious. And that pull bag? What were they thinking? That is awful! Wow! Off to check out a few links. I want to know what smells so bad. Have a faboo weekend. I’m grateful for the short week. 😉

  4. Jae says:

Ugh. Our society is circling the toilet. That purse is complete garbage and they know it and they’re probably laughing. Or worse still they don’t know it and they think they’re some kind of geniuses. There’s gotta be something in the Hollywood drinking water…

    • Piper Bayard says:

I agree. It’s definitely worse if they’re taking themselves seriously with this. I would much rather picture them saying, “Hey. Let’s see how outrageous we can get and still have people buy it.”

  5. Julie Glover says:

Now I finally have a use for my expired pills and my glue gun. Here I come, backpack!

That video was hilarious too. Thanks for the links. I always find some gems here.

  6. The fact that MK and Ashley made the bag is expected. And for God`s sake don`t spill any grapefruit juice on it less it lose some of it`s street value. The people that should be called out are the ones that buy it- what`s wrong with them? I`ve got some bottled gingko to sell them. Thanks for the nod Piper! And a blessings filled New Year to everyone here!

  7. I’ve only just learned about grapefruit and drug reactions! Holy cow! I take GSE to fight off colds, but I also don’t take other pills, so I’m good.

    And LOL what a lineup!

  8. Susan Spann says:

    Thanks for the shout-out Piper!

What a crazy backpack. Who thinks this is a good idea? Sheesh. This world…I wish to reject its reality and substitute my own, for sure.
